Course Description

This course provides a basic understanding of the physiological effects and hands-on protocols needed to work with stones in a therapeutic or spa environment. Students will learn techniques with both hot and cold stones and their appropriate application to the body. Information will also be presented regarding therapist self care, emotions and their relation to stone therapy, as well as an overview of basic oriental meridian theory and stone placement.

Due to a severe weather alert for this weekend, the Library/Lab will be closed both Saturday and Sunday.  In order to accommodate lab requirements, we will be extending lab hours to 9am-5pm on February 1st and 2nd.
